Regional Meeting 2023 in Estambul
Headway as exclusive representative and partner for Spain and Portugal, had the pleasure to attend the Regional Meeting 2023 in Istanbul (Turkey) that took place on April 12, 13 and 14, where more than 30 IESF representatives attended, from countries such as Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, India, Panama, Norway, France, Romania, Hungary, Italy, Turkey, Israel, Denmark, Holland, Poland and Austria among others.
The event began with a welcome cocktail reception at the Pera Museum, which offered attendees the opportunity to network and explore the unique, closed-to-the-public exhibitions. In the subsequent days’ meetings, we had the pleasure of taking a look around the globe, seeing market trends and how our partners from different countries are growing and evolving. In addition, we had the honor of listening to two speakers, Mr. Akan Abdula and Ms. Canan Emgen, who gave very interesting and eye-opening presentations on new paradigms and talent attraction in the global market.
Throughout the day, we also had knowledge sharing sessions among IESF partners, presentation of new potential partners in Hungary, and formed groups to develop new ways to further improve our client and candidate experience as well as our internal processes.
As a curiosity, we had the opportunity to participate in a workshop on Turkish coffee preparation, which was a fun and interactive way to learn about the local culture. And in the evening, we enjoyed a delicious closing dinner at Uskumru restaurant, where we continued to share knowledge and strengthen bonds while reflecting on the day’s sessions.
On the last day of the conference we began with an introduction from Benson & Partners, our partners at IESF Turkey, which included updates on AI projects and innovations. This was followed by a presentation by Ms. Canan Emgen on trends affecting our industry. We also had briefings on business development.
After more than 20 years as an IESF partner, Achim Moraw, partner of Topos (IESF Germany) says goodbye to start a new life stage as the time has come for his retirement. As Achim was one of the founding members of IESF in 2002, his recognition during the whole event was memorable and we wish him all the best in his new phase!
Overall, the conference was a great success and provided us attendees with valuable insights and opportunities to strengthen ties with our partners from around the world. We at Headway look forward to continuing to work with and contribute to IESF. Next stop… Singapore in September 2023. The next IESF Regional meeting will be in Switzerland in the spring of 2024.
