Visit to the COCA-COLA EUROPACIFIC PARTNERS Plant
Last Thursday, April 18, Headway Executive Search, together with Future Track, visited the spectacular Coca-Cola factory in Barcelona (Martorelles), one of the largest Coca-Cola plants worldwide. The visit to this plant of COCA-COLA EUROPACIFIC PARTNERS not only helped us to better understand the internal functioning of one of the leading companies in the consumer goods sector, but also to learn more about a plant that supplies multiple countries with the best production vs. claims ratio in the entire group.

During the visit, we had the opportunity to interact with the plant managers from various areas, gaining insights into the operations, management, and culture that have driven the company’s success over the years and the exponential growth of the factory.
The Coca-Cola Europacific Partners factory in Barcelona is one of the giants in Europe, both in terms of its size, exceeding 500,000 square meters, and its production capacity: 1.2 billion liters per year. With 11 packaging lines and a team of over 400 employees, this plant is entirely versatile, capable of manufacturing most of the company’s brands (Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Minute Maid, Aquarius, Nestea, Nordic Mist…) and even others like Monster.
One of its most astonishing facts: in just one hour, one of its lines can produce all the Coca-Cola a person would consume in 138 years of life. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, this factory allows up to 350 trucks to be loaded daily with the world’s most famous refreshing drink.
Furthermore, the Martorelles factory not only meets the commercial objective but is also a biological connector. The main purpose of the factory’s distribution is to facilitate the passage of animals between the Sierra Litoral and the Besós river thanks to the construction of two wildlife crossings under the La Roca road and a game fence, doing a great favor to the local environment.
